History in the Tasting
The York Gin Company is an award-winning gin company making quality spirits in Yorkshire. Our team of four local York people share a love of gin and the ancient city.
Our four gins - classic dry York Gin, York Gin Cocoa, York Gin Roman Fruit and York Gin Outlaw - are hand-made in our distillery in the historic city. They are the very first gins from York. Buy our gins online or visit our pop-up shop in the centre of York.
On 1st March 2019, we launched York Gin Outlaw, a 57% Navy Strength gin, along with a gin and history tour of York. More info & book tickets
Classic dry York Gin
Our dry gin was awarded a Silver Medal in the Spirits Business Gin Masters 2018 and was shortlisted for three awards at the Gin Awards 2018.

York Gin Cocoa
We’ve worked with the York Cocoa Works to develop a complex and satisfying gin with a unique rich element of cocoa, distilled with cocoa nibs. And York Gin Cocoa is now on the Winter Tasting Menu at the prestigious London Gin Club, Soho.

York Gin Roman Fruit
We’ve plundered Ancient Roman Britain to bring history to life with our very first fruit infused gin - a juniper-led dry gin infused with flora and fauna associated with Ancient Rome. It even has its own Latin motto - 'Veni, vidi, bibi' - 'I came, I saw, I drank.'
